Our Story

Hi, we are Ani and Ben, originally from Argentina, but now permanent residents New Zealand. We have been living in Raglan since 2012. We ended up staying much longer than a working holiday visa, I guess because NZ is such a great country and Raglan is an amazing town with a very good community that thought us new ways of living. Here we learnt to recycle, take care of the nature and our bodies, apart from being conscious on what we eat.

We realise that there is a fusion cuisine in NZ, a lot of influence from the UK, Asia, Europe, and a bit of Mexican food, but not much from South America. So we think that a good way to connect to our culture is to show what we eat. That is how Salsa Brava was born. We are excited to recreate and share some of the goodies that we have found in different cuisines of South America and making them 100% NZ made, using local ethically sourced ingredients. We use all natural ingredients, no GMO, no preservatives, no additives, and no sugar added. 

Adding value to the meals with new and healthy flavours, and through those values, people can get to know a little bit about us, South Americans.

In June 2017 we launched our first product, the Chimichurri sauce, originally from Argentina. On the summer of 2018, we set up a campervan with a fully insulated box on top with 2000 jars of Chimichurri, and we travelled the whole country, stopping in every town and city, getting inside the shops we liked, and introducing ourselves and the products to the owners. Now we have around 150 shops selling our products.

In October 2018 we launched our second product, the hot version on the Chimichurri.
